Cleaning Checklist

At Kasar Stays we take the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our apartments very seriously. We believe that our guests and staff are entitled to stay at and work in a clean and safe environment.

In light of the COVID-19 global pandemic we have improved our already high cleaning standards and have taken steps to ensure that all our apartments are deep cleaned after every guest checkout to ensure our guests enjoy a safe, hygienic environment.

Our housekeeping staff are also trained on how to use disinfectants safely and correctly when cleaning our apartments – ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for our guests.

Since the implementation of our enhanced cleaning protocol, all our housekeepers wear or are equipped with suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including:

  • Face masks
  • Disposable gloves
  • Protective apron
  • Closed shoes
  • Hand sanitiser (with a minimum 70% alcohol by volume)

Deep cleaning and sanitisation of apartments and common areas will focus in particular on those areas which are high transmission vectors for viruses or bacteria - e.g. bathrooms, apartment door fixtures, cupboard door handles, light switches, hard surfaces and kitchen contents.

These high transmission areas will be cleaned first using conventional cleaning products (non-ionic surfactants), before being disinfected with either a regular household disinfectant solution containing bleach, or where the use of bleach is undesirable, using a 70% alcohol solution which can be left to evaporate. Cutlery, dishes, crockery and cooking utensils are cleaned using an anti-viral washing up liquid.

The common areas of our apartment buildings have now been fitted with alcohol hand sanitiser dispensers. Where common areas are narrow (e.g. staircase, hallways or elevators), we implore our guests and staff to employ a pragmatic approach to avoid close contact with others in these spaces - this could mean a one-way system in some instances.

In addition to the above, housekeepers and maintenance staff have been advised to follow social distancing protocols, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette (covering the mouth and nose with a bent elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing) at all times. They have also been advised not to engage in non-urgent dialogue with our guests. We kindly ask our guests to direct queries to the office where they can be dealt with by telephone.

Where essential maintenance is required during your stay, our team can attend at an agreed time so social distancing can be adhered to - work areas will be thoroughly sanitised once works are completed.
